The gear head and guard keep the disc from reaching the reveal – the last piece stays and has to be chiselled or broken off.
The sill gets shortened when floor, walls and often furniture are already in place. A dry cut without extraction spreads the stone dust through the whole room.
A crooked cut or chipping on the polished edge sits right in the light at the window – and on an installed sill there is little room to correct it.
The Dominator 125 and 125 BL cut up to 30 mm deep, the Dominator 180 with saw blades up to Ø 180 mm up to 60 mm. All three are dry saws for marble, granite and engineered stone and cut right up to the wall.
Set the guard forwards or backwards in detent positions and place the blade with flange at the outer edge of the guard – this lets the cut reach the wall. The GADIA Plus-Cut for granite, natural and engineered stone is available in Ø 125, 150, 180 and 230 mm in the version “with flange”.
The suction hose goes onto the extraction port of the open guard; swivel joint, hose spacer and fixed hose guide keep it out of the cut. At the other end: an M or H class dust extractor.
Note: The Dustcleaner 300 and 200 have an automatic power socket – the vacuum starts and stops with the saw.
The electronics keep the speed up under load; on the Dominator 180 you guide the saw by the Ergotec handle with vibration damping and the rubberised D-handle – also on deep cuts.
If the sill is still on the trestle, the Smart Cutter 1700 Plus cuts up to 40 mm deep with its removable guide plate on the GALESKI rail system. The Aluminium Rail System Basic Set (100 cm) holds with rubber lever suction cups on smooth and vacuum suction holders on rough surfaces.
The DOMINATOR cuts right up to the wall – for the installed sill. The SMART CUTTER Plus cuts guided along the rail – for the loose sill.

Yes – with a dry saw that cuts right up to the wall and extracts the dust at the disc. The DOMINATOR series is built for this: cuts close to the wall in marble, granite, engineered stone and sandstone.
On the DOMINATOR the blade can be positioned centrally or, with a flange, at the outer edge of the guard; the guard can be set forwards or backwards in detent positions.
The GADIA Plus-Cut is made for hard materials such as concrete, granite and clinker, in Ø 125 to 230 mm, from Ø 125 mm also with flange. The GADIA Whisper-Cut with sandwich core cuts granite, natural and engineered stone with low noise, in Ø 125 and 160 mm.
