Chiselling breaks them off in slabs or lumps; whatever remains has to be reworked before the new covering goes down.<\/p><\/li><li><h3>Every millimetre counts underneath<\/h3><p>Under the stone carpet there is screed, primer and, depending on the room, waterproofing. Grinding or chiselling freehand has no depth stop \u2013 the milling depth of the ATLAS, by contrast, is set on the machine.<\/p><\/li><li><h3>Stone dust plus resin dust<\/h3><p>Removal produces fine dust from stone and binder, mostly indoors. It belongs captured at the drum, not swept up afterwards.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"sec steps\" id=\"schritte\" aria-labelledby=\"schritte-h\"><div class=\"box sec__grid\"><div class=\"sec__head\"><h2 id=\"schritte-h\">Step by step<\/h2><\/div><div class=\"sec__body\"><ol class=\"steps__list\"><li class=\"step\" id=\"step-1\"><span class=\"step__n\" aria-hidden=\"true\">1<\/span><div class=\"step__b\"><h3>Choose the milling drum<\/h3><p>The ATLAS Milling Drum Hybrid Grey (hard bond, hybrid segments and PCD grit) explicitly lists stone carpet under \u201csuitable materials\u201d in the shop, along with coatings under and over 2 mm, sealants and levelling compounds.
